Mr Chan was appointed the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury on 16 August 2017.
Mr Chan has many years of senior executive experience in the banking industry. He was a Managing Director in the Global Markets Division of Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, and was a Managing Director in Financial Markets of Standard Chartered Bank.
Prior to joining the Government, Mr Chan held multiple roles in a number of public and professional bodies, including Vice President of the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts, Director of Hong Kong Securities & Investment Institute, Advisor of the Chinese Gold & Silver Exchange Society, as well as a General Committee member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Mr Chan was also a member of the Central & Western District Council.
Mr Chan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Hon) and Psychology from the University of Michigan, USA. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.Sue Lee is Director and APAC Head of Index Investment Strategy at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). The group provides research and commentary on S&P DJI’s entire product set, including U.S. and global equities, fixed income, commodities and economic indices.
Prior to joining S&P DJI in 2023, Sue worked as an equity derivatives strategist at Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan, where she published market analyses and trade ideas for the Asia Pacific region. She also worked for a family office in Hong Kong where she managed a multi-asset portfolio.
Sue is a CFA charterholderand holds a master’s degree in financial engineering from University of California at Berkeley, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business from Seoul National University.
Henry Chui is the Head of Private Wealth business for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. He joined Partners Group in 2022 and has 15 years of industry experience. Previously, he was with Nuveen and PIMCO in a similar capacity. Henry holds a bachelor degree in finance and economics from the University of Toronto and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Jimmy joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 2019 to prepare for the launch of the planned giving and trustee services institution in Hong Kong. He was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Adventist Charitable Foundation Limited in 2021 after the company was incorporated.
Prior to this project, Jimmy worked for a number of Family Offices in Hong Kong in the capacity of CEO or Finance Director for 12 years. His primary role was to manage private trust companies; set up and administer family trusts and charitable foundations for these families. He also handled finance and accounting, investment execution and oversight of trust assets investment for these families.
Previously, Jimmy was a Senior Vice President with HSBC’s trustee in Hong Kong from 2001 to 2008, responsible for providing trustee services to corporate and pension clients.
Before HSBC, Jimmy held senior executive positions with the Hospital Authority, and multi-national corporations in Hong Kong and the UK, responsible for trusteeship of pension funds and financial management.
Tom Digby leads the ETF Business Development and Capital Markets team in Asia Pacific. The ETF Business Development team helps Invesco clients across Asia Pacific generate better outcomes in their investment portfolios using Invesco’s ETF capabilities.
In addition, Tom leads the ETF Capital Markets team which provides in-depth trading, liquidity, product structure and market knowledge to educate investors and help market participants trade ETFs.
Tom relocated to Invesco’s Hong Kong office in 2019 from Invesco EMEA, where he was Head of ETF Client Trading, EMEA. Prior to joining Invesco, Tom worked at Source, a specialized European-based ETF provider. As one of the original members of the Capital Markets team, he has a deep understanding of the UCITS ETF product structure and Invesco’s broad product suite.
Tom holds a Master’s degree in Investment Management from Cass Business School.
Dominic Scriven holds a combined honours degree in Law and Sociology from Exeter University. His investing career spans nearly 40 years across London, Hong Kong, and Vietnam. He studied at Ha Noi University for two years before founding Dragon Capital in 1994. He was appointed an OBE by the British Queen and awarded a Labour Medal by the President of Vietnam.
In business, Dominic is an active promoter of financial market development, good governance and sustainability, with a particular focus on natural capital, that in 2019 led to the endowment of the Dragon Chair in Biodiversity Economics at Exeter University. Privately, his interests range from Vietnamese art to off-grid resorts, and the natural world.
Ms. Ka Shi Lau completed a 25-year tenure with BCT Group (a key player in the pension and asset servicing industries) in June 2024, having served as Managing Director & CEO for 22 years and Senior Advisor for 2 years. During her tenure, she led the group to new horizons with transformations, driving innovation and responsible growth. With a sense of purpose and in service of the greater good, Ka Shi now focuses on enhancing corporate governance, sustainability, financial / retirement protection, community wellbeing and advancing Hong Kong's status as a leading IFC. Currently, she is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Trustees’ Association, Vice Chairman of the Asian Corporate Governance Association, and INED of Citibank (Hong Kong) and also actively serves on public / professional bodies, including MPFA, SFC, Our Hong Kong Foundation, Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association and HKICPA. Her public role included Hospital Authority, Minimum Wage Commission, Women’s Commission, CIIF and Independent Commission.
In recognition of her public service, Ka Shi was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) by the HKSAR Government in 2013. Among multiple awards she garnered, she was the first woman to win the “Director of the Year Award” in the “Private Companies, Executive Director” category from The Hong Kong Institute of Directors, and the “Lifetime Achievement Award – MPF” at the Asia Asset Management’s 2021 “Best of the Best Awards”.
Ka Shi holds an MBA from Cornell University and “Executive Leadership Programme in Global Finance” certificate from the Global Economics and Finance of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was awarded Honorary Fellow of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI) and a Fellow of both the Chartered Governance Institute (FCG) and the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKFCG).
Janet is the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association. She is also the Chief Executive Officer of BEA Union Investment.
anet has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining BEA Union Investment, she was the Wealth Business Leader for Asia and a Partner at Mercer where she led the Retirement and Investment business of the firm in the region. Throughout her investment consulting career, she worked closely with institutional clients and platforms on their portfolios and across diverse types of asset classes ranging from public to private markets investments.
Janet is currently serving as a Member of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Advisory Committee and Member of the Human Capital Committee of the Financial Services Development Council. She was named as one of the 25 Leaders in Asset Management by Asia Asset Management in their 25th Anniversary edition 2021.
She is an Adjunct Associate Professor of The Faculty of Business and Economics at The University of Hong Kong.
Dr Au is Executive Director of Financial Services Development Council (FSDC). Prior to joining the FSDC, he was President of Value Partners Group Limited. Dr Au also served as CEO of Eastspring Investments (Hong Kong) Limited and CEO of BOCHK Asset Management Limited. He also held various senior management positions at other financial institutions including Baring, GMO and HSBC Global Asset Management.
Dr Au was named CEO of the Year in Hong Kong by Asia Asset Management in 2012 and 2014. He was awarded the Medal of Honor by the HKSAR Government in 2008 for his valuable contributions to the securities and asset management industry. He was also the Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI) from 2006 to 2008 and the Chairman of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association in 2004/2005.
Dr Au is currently serving as a Council member of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Public Accountants, an Index Advisory Committee member of China Securities Index Co and Shanghai Stock Exchange, a Finance Committee member of Adventist Health Hong Kong, a Board of Director of The World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC), and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Hong Kong among other public services.
Dr Au is a CFA Charterholder, an Honorary Fellow of HKSI and member of Hong Kong Academy of Finance. He received his BA in Physics from the University of Oxford and PhD in Theoretical Particle Physics from the Durham University.
Meaghan Victor is a Managing Director of State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) holding the position of Head of Intermediary Client Coverage for SSGA in Asia Pacific. In this role, Meaghan is a member of the SSGA Executive Management Group and is responsible for leading, managing and developing our Intermediary distribution business across Asia Pacific, coordinating the distribution engagement for our clients across capital markets, products and infrastructure.
Prior to joining SSGA in 2017, Meaghan held the position of National Partnership Manager at the BT Financial Group. Over her 30 year career in the financial industry, Meaghan has held positions focused on sales management, strategy and product development at firms including Fidelity International, Colonial First State Investments, and Macquarie Investment Management.

Carmen Cheung joined Hang Seng Investment Management Limited (HSVM) as Head of Product since Dec 2023. Carmen leads and drives the Investment Product and Solution Strategy for the Asset Management business.
She has been working in financial industry for over 20+ years . Prior to joining HSVM, Carmen worked at Samsung Asset Management and Mirae Asset Global Investments with the capacity of Head of ETF and Index Investment, leading their ETF business in Hong Kong, overseeing Portfolio Management, Capital Market, Product Development and Sales strategy that covers Asian region. Carmen worked at ABN AMRO Bank NV on Cash Equities, then became The Royal Bank of Scotland PLC since 2007 on Equities Business Development for both Cash and Derivative platform and then as Regional Equity Delta One Sales & Trading mainly focusing on Index/ETF, algorithmic electronic executions, and Equity Synthetic business.
Win Phromphaet, CFA is Executive Chairman of Kasikorn Asset Management, one of the largest fund houses in Thailand with total AUM of US$47 billion. Win has over 22 years of professional experience in Investment Management.
Prior to this, Win was EVP - Head of High Net-Worth Division, Bank of Ayudhya PCL and Chief Investment Officer of Principal Asset Management. Before that, he was Head of Investments and Deputy Spokesperson of the Social Security Office, Thailand's largest institutional investor.
Win holds a BA in Economics (International Program) from Thammasat University in Bangkok and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Netherlands. His MBA study was sponsored by the Royal Thai Government Scholarship. Win is a CFA Charterholder and a former President of CFA Society Thailand. Dr. Alvin Ho is an experienced investment principal with a proven track record in private equity. While dedicating time to teaching at universities, he balances managing private investment portfolios and institutional LP investing with mentoring both start-ups and established companies. In addition, he serves as a board member for listed companies and NGOs, and is a member of investment committees for various funds and platforms. Previously the legal and executive representative for local currency funds incorporated in Beijing and Chengdu, he was the Head of China for a pan-regional private equity growth fund.
As President of the Society, Alvin spearheaded key initiatives to advance industry collaboration. He curated the Society’s 30th-anniversary publication, featuring insights from 30 distinguished industry experts, and launched the flagship ‘Presidential Moment’ series, convening global luminaries including a Nobel Laureate, top strategists, authors, and executives like a multinational bank’s Hong Kong CEO.
Alvin holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, along with master’s degrees from Tsinghua University and London Business School. Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan is the MD & CEO of the National Stock Exchange of India. A technocrat from IIT Bombay and IIM Calcutta, he is a founding member of the NSE and has been involved in the automation of stock markets in India since 1992.
He is credited with seng up screen-based trading, satellite telecom, the NIFTY Index, derivaves trading and many other modern developments in the Indian stock market. He is considered as the father of modern financial derivaves in India due to his pioneering work in the field. Ashish has been fulfilling NSE’s mandate that extends well beyond any comparable exchange or centrally traded order-matching system globally, it being a frontline regulator. NSE, which now has a Market Capitalisation of $4.8 Trillion, is the world’s largest derivaves exchange for the fih me in a row and top traded equity exchange in terms of the number of trades - processing more than 1700 crore orders in a day.
